• Centrum– The closest to campus but also the most expensive.
• Cost U Less– Just like Sam’s Club and Costco, you can find anything you need in bulk from food to appliances.
• Small local shops – There are also small local shops and a mall that one can visit.

Transportation – There are many ways to get around in Curacao. Bus fares are relatively cheap for those who do not have access to a car. Taxis are also available but can be expensive. Those over 25 years old can rent a car for maximum convenience.

Laundry – Laundry services are available on campus. There are many local laundromats nearby that one can go to for self-service.

Safety –Curacao is one of the safest Caribbean islands. The locals are very welcoming, helpful, and will go out of their way to help. Traveling at night is not a problem. Curacao is also safe from hurricanes.

Shopping – There is a beautiful mall “Sambil Mall” near campus with a food court, cinema and brand-named stores.

Restaurants – There are many American fast food chains near campus that one can go to. Subway, KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, and Starbucks are within minutes from campus. There are two restaurants on campus,whereasothers are within walking distance such as Tomatoes Pizzeria and Pirate’s Bay which are located behind the Hilton hotel.

Tourist Attractions – There are many, many things to do on the island of Curacao such as snorkeling, Helmet diving, deep sea diving, etc. One can also visit an ostrich farm, aquarium, caves, aloe vera farms, etc.The beaches are also within minutes. Parasasa Beach is within walking distance from campus. Other beautiful beaches are also a short car ride away.

Phone, Internet, and Cable – Internet and cable are provided but one needs to bring their own router and Ethernet cable. You can use your phone free of charge via wifi calling, whatsapp, and viber. But you may also purchase a local prepaid phone.

Health/ fitness – There is a gym conveniently located at the World Trade Center. There’s also a running track along the coastline of the beach for those that want a natural experience.

Banking –There is an ATM on campus which gives you the option of US Dollars or Guilders. Money can be exchanged at any local bank with a proper ID. If currency cannot be exchanged, one can also pay in US Dollars.
